Rabbi Daniel Rockoff
Rabbi Daniel Rockoff is a native of Newton, Massachusetts. He graduated from Maimonides School, and studied at Yeshivat Shaalvim in Israel. Rabbi Rockoff received his B.S. in Psychology Magna Cum Laude, Semicha (ordination) from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, an M.S. in Jewish Education from the Azrieli School of Jewish Education and Administration, and an M.A. in Bible at the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies, all at Yeshiva University.
Prior to becoming Rabbi of BIAV, Rabbi Rockoff was Assistant Rabbi at Congregation AABJ&D in West Orange, NJ. He has also been a Rabbinic Intern at the Riverdale Jewish Center in NY and at Beth Jacob Congregation of Beverly Hills, CA, where he was also a Soloveitchik Scholar.
Rabbi Rockoff has taught students of all ages, including adults and children in the communities where he has served, middle school students at the Bicultural Day School in Stamford,CT, and high school students at the Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School in Livingston, NJ. He has also worked as program coordinator and assistant director for the Orthodox Union’s Department of Community and Synagogue Services, in both Los Angeles and New York.
