Rabbi Avi Billet
Rabbi Avi Billet has been a practicing mohel since completing training in Israel with Rabbi Mordekhai Sasson, the government supervisor of Mohels in Israel, in 1998. Since 2009 he has served, first as the part-time rabbi, and since 2015 as the full-time rabbi at Anshei Chesed Congregation in Boynton Beach. The shul's membership has more than doubled since his being installed as full-time rabbi.
He has been publishing a weekly Dvar Torah for the Jewish Star of Long Island since 2006. Many of his writings can be found on their website, as well as at his blog: arabbiwithoutacause.blogspot.com.
For schooling and rabbinic training, he studied in Yeshivat Har Etzion in Gush Etzion, Israel, and all other higher learning - college, graduate school (M.S. Ed) and semicha - at Yeshiva University in New York.
